Mach V VJing at Digital City 23/11/2018

Digital City Awamu fundraiser presents: Dark Sky and Vessels

In collaboration with Awamu, Digital City is proud to announce a double headliner, both of which are more accustomed to appearing at the likes of Berghain or Printworks, Sonar or Glastonbury, then tiny record shop basement clubs.

But love for the pounding little venue, the cause, and the night see Dark Sky and Vessels enmesh themselves with Digital City’s ongoing affair with all that is deep, pulsing and electronic.

DARK SKY

Dark Sky regularly play alongside acts such as Leftfield, Apparat, Bicep, James Zabiela and Modeselektor at venues like Panorama Bar, the Warehouse Project and Gottwood. In fact in was Modeselektor who picked them up, pumping out albums on their Monkeytown imprint- a hefty addition to other releases on Ninja Tune, 50 Weapons and Mister Saturday Night, working with the likes of The XX, Marcel Dettmann and Maya Jane Coles along their atmospheric techno veering breakbeat way.

VESSELS DJs (live modular FX & Decks show)

Vessels were last in London headlining a Southbank ‘late’ session as part of Robert Smith’s Meltdown festival. They are no stranger to such guest spots having previously played Brixton at Jon Hopkins’ request. This live modular FX and decks show represents everything they have become to electronic music- deep, atmospheric, yet driving, while also preserving much of the groove and melody of their earlier incarnations. Their journey has seen them collaborate with Max Cooper, Nils Frahm, Django Django, The Flaming Lips, Throwing Snow and Public Service Broadcasting.

Most recently, they’ve laid down shows at Oval Space, ADE, Melt!, Sonar and All Points East, while also getting invites to appear alongside the likes of Nina Kravitz, Kiasmos, Julio Bashmore, Rival Consoles and Clark.

Shedliner: Peepshow Paddy

The Disco Shed’s very own Peepshow Paddy will be honing his electronic tendencies for a dedicated delve into his late night bag of bulging beats and deep disco treats.

Support is pure: Bustmasta BarryDark and Remote drop the DC residential techno, bleeps, bass, electro, and jacking house, while VJs Parallax and Mach V bring the cutting edge visuals.
