Dom & I were asked to play a DJ/VJ set at the wonderful Fortified Recordings night and this is the first 30 minutes of it. Dom use ableton to mix the tracks and I used Motion Dive Tokyo Console to blend the video. The whole thing was recorded on my Archos AV500 and then shortened in Quick Time.

With the global financial markets in disarray, and with the news that Orbital are getting back together, it seems the right time for us at Echaskech HQ to share this with you lovely people. With thanks (in blissful ignorance) to John Landis, Rick Prelinger, Mark Achbar & Jennifer Abbott and, of course the mighty Orbital because without you, this piece would not be at all possible. :)

Event: Echaskech Presents... Roger O'Donnell & Erin Lang @ Concrete, Hayward Gallery, South Bank Centre.
It's with great excitement that we bring Roger O'Donnell and Erin Lang to Concrete!Roger co-wrote and performed on 4 albums with The Cure as well as playing with Psychedelic Furs and The Thomson Twins. He now tinkers with synths galore and makes splendid sounds that will be showcased tonight. He has also composed a piece especially for the show! Joining Roger will be the wonderful Erin Lang - bringing her electromantic style to South Bank combining ethereal pop with ambient electronic...and a trumpet!
This promises to be a great evening of music and it will cost you NOWT to attend and enjoy.
See you there!

this is from echaskech.co.uk:
Digitonal - '93 Years On' Single featuring 'Nothing Left to Say' - Echaskech Remix and 'Ana Kata' - 65 Days of Static Remix
Click here to listen or download
"The Echaskech remix is fantastic... what can only be described as liquid sonic ecstasy! when you hear the bassline kick in you will know what I'm talking about." - Vainzine
If you can't wait until next year for a new Echaskech album, then please download this little baby. We were delighted to be asked to remix Digitonal, whats more we were given free choice of which of the album tracks we wanted to tackle...we were spoilt for choice! We chose 'Nothing Left to Say' and we are particularly proud of it.
You have got to hear the whole release in fact, it is blessed with stirring and powerful a 65 Days of Static version of 'Ana Kata'.
A veritable hamper of aural delights to whet your appetite for the Digitonal album, 'Save Your Light for Darker Days' which deserves all to the media acclaim it is receiving also out now.
Digitonal are on the same label as us: the mighty Just Music.
Mix Archive (Sleepy Time): At Home, on Sunday (Spring 2008)
Another set recorded from Second Life. I was itching to play some ambient tunes and I talked my friend Altern8 into letting me to dj at his excellently designed chillout room at the Second Life Club space "Home" and here's the result. It starts off with an amazing piece by Tom Heasley, called "Prologue"; Tom makes these amazing pieces just using a Tuba (worth remembering when you're out searching for antique analogue synths for that illusive pad sounds). There's also 3 tracks from Gel-Sol - whom I'm quite happy to describe as a music genius - 2 off his new Ambient LP "IZ" ("Mourning Wok" and the title track) and his last more beat oriented LP "Unifactor" (both available from Upstairs Recordings) and a track by another music genius, Jon Hopkins off his surperb "Opalescent" LP, on Just Music; oh and, of course, an Echaskech tune "A Slow Day" (you can watch the video to that by cliicking here).
